A code of practice specifies the knowledge and skills required of a competent operator. To provide training for those required to undertake the NPTC assessment: PA1 – Safe Use of Pesticides
Course Content
- Current Legislation
- Interpreting labels and literature
- Personal Hygiene
- Selecting and using protective clothing
- Preparing pesticides for use
- Storing pesticides
- Transport and temporary storage of pesticides
- Disposing of empty containers, surplus unused pesticides and washing
- Keeping records
- Environmental factors
Who Is This Course For?
Anyone employed in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping and grounds maintenance who is involved in the storage, handling and application of pesticides.
Duration
2 days – for those with little or no experience
1 day – for experienced operators
